The French students

 Learning English is really important in France.

             Indeed, it is the first language in a lot of sectors like trading, science, new technologies, computer science, communication, etc. knowing the English language is one of the most frequent skills requested by a CEO in France. Of course, it is also the official language for 75 countries, so for more than 2 billion people all over the world. Moreover, more than 12 million tourists are English-speakers and they represent 15 % of the people coming in France.

         We are in the 11th grade and, in our class, 25 students have chosen an optional English course "the European English Section", which means that we learn more English than the other students from our school. In France, more than 200,000 middle and high school students have made the same decision as us. We really want to improve our level in English. For example, we study History, Geography and Biology in English. So, we discover many subjects we don't talk about in "classic English classes" like the geography of the USA. This is great because we learn new words and we are really interested in the history of other countries than France.
